This Little Piggy! DIY Baby Piglet Halloween Costume!

This little piggy had roast beef, this little piggy had none, and... this little piggy named Delainey couldn't be any cuter... or more comfortable!

This costume ranks as the most casual and comfortable, possibly... but it's a winner as far as the level of adorable it is!

The best part...? Almost anyone can make a little pig snout. It's literally a cylinder, with a circle attached, and two ovals inside of it. Attach it to a wooden dowel or some elastic, throw a couple pink triangles on a headband and your little piggy is set to snort all night!

The outfit for our piggy costume was, again, all items we already had laying around the house! A jacket from Carter's, a Hot Pink The Baby Bird Boutique Romper, light pink Sew Sassy Icings, Pink Converse, and of course, the ears and snoot were made by yours truly, Bloomology Boutique.

This little ham is definitely the cutest and loved running around growling in this costume, because she thinks all animals growl... and that's just down right ridiculously cute.

Wanna impress your friends "pig" time? Throw together some of your favorite pink items from your sweet girls closet and add a homemade pig snout and your cute little piggy is ready to go!

I'm getting so excited Halloween is just around the corner... aren't you? So tell me, what do you have planned for everyone's favorite holiday full of tricks and treats? What will your little one be dressing up as? I hope we've help inspire you to get creative with your costume this year!

Adorable Baby Barbie DIY Halloween Costume Inspiration

Growing up I always loved Barbie and I have no doubt Delainey will feel the same way. She already owns one little Barbie and will likely be adding a few more to her collection this winter thanks to "Santa". So it was kind of a given we were going to dress up as one of her favorite toys.

I mean seriously, does Barbie get any cuter than this? Wanna hear the best part? It's all small shop or stuff we had lying around, which makes this mama smile!

And, if I'm being honest, I'm not sure if I'm gazing into the future or if she's dressed up for Halloween. 😂 I mean, with the blonde wig, the iPhone in her hand and a sassy look on her face... she's one going on 16.

But oh my lanta, this costume is one for the baby book! She's definitely a Barbie Girl in a Barbie World!

Want to dress your little one up as Barbie?

You can get a custom leo like this one from Chloe + Piper and a custom skirt like this one from The Mini Princess Designs! Oh... and that amazing bow she's wearing in some of the photos is from Darling Diva Boutique Bows and it's one of our absolute favorites!

If you're going to get a wig, I suggest you check out Amazon... but I will say D really wasn't a fan of the wig and if we were going trick or treating I'd let her rock her own Barbie hair for comfort!

With that said, which version of Barbie was your favorite? I thought about making her an 80's work out Barbie or maybe even a Barbie Bride.... but I thought this classic Black & White with Hot Pink look was too perfect to pass up!

Sweet Little Unicorn AND a Little Red Riding Hood Baby Halloween Costume Inspiration

Well, I suppose I need to apologize for postponing a few of our costume posts - I "took the weekend off" to work on my little bow business, Bloomology... which really just means I didn't take the time to write up a post about our awesome costumes in between burning my fingers with the glue gun, cutting felt flowers out, and kissing on my little sweetheart.

While I wasn't able to write anything up this weekend, we had some nice family time and I think we were able to come up with some pretty awesome costumes... From a sweet little unicorn to a "clever" last minute Little Red Riding Hood, these costume ideas are sure to inspire you to use your imagination and really go above and beyond with your creativity while making your family costume this year!

With that said, I'm excited to show you what Delainey dressed up as over the past couple of days! Interested in knowing where her costume pieces are from? I've linked the details on each item below!

My sweet little unicorn looked so dreamy in this warm little costume! It's just a little too much for a Florida Halloween but I know it'd be perfect for someone living in the midwest!

Her romper is an older release from Ricrac & Ruffles, her unicorn horn is Target, and the bow is from Tink's Bows 2017!

This Little Red Riding Hood costume isn't necessarily the most authentic looking, seeing as though she's wearing one of my shirts for her "hood"... but I mean, isn't this the cutest little Red Riding Hood costume you've ever seen?

She LOVED her basket and also just wanted to explore, so I think she fits the part... but luckily there's no Big Bad Wolf in her world. 😂

For this costume we used an older red shirt and just tied it around her little noggin, not the classiest hood but it totally worked! Her dress is from Creek Baby & Co. and one of our absolute favorites (keep an eye out for it in our Christmas photos because HELLO LOVE)... and guess what? We have a discount code to share with you! Use the code 'CBCfriends15' to save!

So tell me, what costumes are you planning for your family? Don't forget to check out all the other posts from earlier this month... We've shared a BUNCH of fun costume inspiration!

Super Simple DIY Sushi Roll Costume for Baby

Who would have thought? We're o-fish-ally on day 19 of Delainey's 31 days of Halloween (give or take a few days because she's one and not always willing to take photos...) and it's starting to become difficult for this mama to come up with a costume idea each day especially since this little gal has such a "tempura". I mean 31 costumes is A LOT for one mama and baby to take on.

While it's been challenging, I will say it has also been a LOT of fun...

As I discussed before, it's actually really educational and rewarding for D and since I'm having to get creative and use my crafting skills, I feel like it's been a bit of a learning experience for me as well.

I mean, a good challenge is almost always rewarding - just like mastering the art of taking photos of toddlers or making perfect little sushi rolls.

That's right - today this little chumaki-chunk dressed up as one of our favorite foods... and I maki-d her costume. Ha. Get it? I'm so punny, right? 😂

If you like the way we roll, then check out the details on this oh-soy-cute costume:

I made the little rice, fish, and veggie pieces out of felt and cotton balls. I just cut little scraps up to look like a piece of "raw fish", a few pieces of cucumber, and some avocado then glued on some "rice" cotton balls.

Once it was all dry, I used a spot of hot glue and attached it to her black The Baby Bird Boutique romper [use the code DelaineyBird to save]!

I could have stopped there but, I mean, no roll would be truly complete without a little bit of smelt roe, so I just had to add that as well...

And on that note, you can't have sushi without the basics... so we had to accessorize with a custom Bloomology Wasabi and Ginger bow!

So tell me, does anyone have any soy sauce? Cause that's all we're missing from this super scrumptious little costume and I'm ready to dip her in and just eat her up!

In all seriousness though, isn't this costume the cutest? It makes "miso" happy!

Prima Ballerina or Prima Donna?! Tiny Dancer Baby Costume Inspiration

Prima Ballerina or Prima Donna?

I'm not really sure which prima costume she is going for today, but I would say she is rocking both looks pretty much perfectly!

This little "tiny dancer" costume is seriously cute and SO easy to put together with items most little girls already have around the house!

All you need is a perfect pink bow, a girly leo, a tutu, and some shoes that resemble ballet shoes... and your little "Prima Ballerina" is set to perform... or uh, run around in the front yard! 💃😆

While a leo may not be something everyone has... That should change!

We absolutely love our leotards from Chloe + Piper for everyday wear and have a handful, including some with custom monogramming! Whether you want a plain floral or a festive Halloween leo, C+P has you covered...and you can always use our code DELAINEY to save!

And I mean, we love all of our leos equally, but this one is a new addition to her collection and so incredibly perfect for this sassy little ballerina costume!

Interested in knowing the details on her entire outfit?
I've linked each shop below!

Bow: Darling Diva Boutique Bows | Leo: Chloe + Piper [use code DELAINEY to save]

Delainey the Dragon - Our DIY Baby Dragon Halloween Costume [Make This in Minutes!]

Some days you're a princess, some days you're more of a dragon.

Today Delainey was definitely a dragon.

Not only was she super sassy, stubborn, ornery and opinionated like one of her favorite growling creatures... she was dressed up as one too.😁

I'm not going to lie, watching her roam around the backyard exploring, with a little tail attached and a little mohawk of scales down her head was hilarious... and adorable.

Want to know the best part? I made this little "costume", using just a few items we already had, in just a matter of minutes. It may not look the fanciest, but she seriously LOVED walking around growling in it... so I think it's a total win.

Want to transform your toddler into a little dragon friend?

You'll need: Stiff paper felt, a hot glue gun, and a small bow.

I simply cut triangles out and attached them to the stiff paper using the hot glue to make them stand up. I then cute out some little wings and attached those to the back side of the paper.

I let it all dry and then clipped her tail and wings on to the back of her June & January romper with a small bow... We added a little bow to her hair and then she was ready to roam.

If I had more time, I maybe would have added a few fuchsia polka dots to her behind or a big fuchsia dot on her belly. But, this simple costume is all I had time to make with her rambunctious spirit and lack of napping!

And as I said, while this costume may not be the fanciest, she loved it! I officially have a dragon of a kiddo on my hands... and well, I guess I'm just lucky this crazy little "beast" is cute and (sometimes) friendly!
